Before you book

Terms and Conditions

These terms apply once a booking is confirmed. Please read them before you pay a deposit — the key money points are the 50% deposit and the cancellation charges.

01About These Terms

1.1 Events and Entertainment acts as a booking agency arranging entertainment services between Clients and independent Performers.

1.2 By confirming a booking, the Client agrees to these Terms and Conditions.

1.3 A legally binding contract is formed once the booking is confirmed verbally, electronically, or in writing by all relevant parties.

02Fees & Payment

2.1 A deposit of 50% of the total booking fee is required to secure the performance date.

2.2 The remaining balance is due no later than 28 days before the event date unless otherwise agreed in writing. The Client may pay the full amount at the time of booking if they wish.

2.3 Failure to make payment by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking and cancellation charges becoming payable.

2.4 Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate.

03Client Cancellation

3.1 All cancellations must be made in writing.

3.2 Cancellation fees apply as follows:

• More than 84 days: 25% of total booking fee

• 57–84 days: 50% of total booking fee

• 29–56 days: 75% of total booking fee

• Within 28 days: 100% of total booking fee

Payments already made count towards the cancellation charge, not in addition to it.

3.3 Cancellation charges become immediately payable upon cancellation.

04Performer Availability

4.1 If a Performer becomes unavailable, Events and Entertainment will use reasonable efforts to secure a suitable replacement of similar style and standard.

4.2 If no replacement can be agreed, all monies paid will be refunded excluding any unrecoverable costs already incurred.

05Event Requirements

5.1 The Client is responsible for providing: a safe performance area, adequate power supply, reasonable access for setup, and suitable venue conditions.

06Performance & Safety

6.1 Performers may stop or terminate performance immediately if exposed to abusive, threatening, unsafe, or inappropriate behaviour.

6.2 In such circumstances, the full booking fee remains payable.

6.3 The Client is responsible for the conduct of guests, attendees, and venue staff.

07Changes to Bookings

7.1 Requests to change date, time, venue, or performance details must be made as early as possible.

7.2 All changes are subject to Performer availability and agreement.

7.3 Additional costs may apply where changes require extra administration, travel, or performance adjustments.

08Liability

8.1 Events and Entertainment is not liable for indirect or consequential losses including loss of profit, reputation, or business opportunity.

8.2 Liability is limited to the total booking value except where such limitation is not permitted by law.

09Future Bookings

9.1 Any booking of a Performer introduced by Events and Entertainment within 18 months of the original introduction must be arranged via the Agency.

10Governing Law

10.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
